Term 4 Newsletter
The Term 3 holidays came and went quickly, didn’t they?! It is less than 3 months until Christmas, but we all have so much to do before then!
Thanks to word-of-mouth and nearly one hundred media interviews, my “Stomp Out The ANTs – Automatic Negative Thoughts” book has been selling well. In addition, there is an ANT poster which is ideal for classrooms, counselling rooms and bedrooms to help children give words to their feelings. As a SPECIAL DEAL for you, [NAME], reply to this email to purchase both of these for the special low price of $32 + p & h (that's 20% off!). For those who don’t know, these products are IDEAL for older children, teens and adults who are at risk for or have suffered from depression or anxiety (which is most of us!). It gives some easy-to-read information and some great, simple strategies to use to empower yourselves. Well worth the small investment to discover these skills!
Thanks to those of you who attended the “Stomp Out The ANTs” professional development a few months ago. The feedback was GREAT! For this reason, we are offering the presentation again on Friday November 26th from 9.30am – 12.30pm. [NAME], whether you are a teacher, a parent or a mental health professional, you will learn more about depression and anxiety in children & adolescents. We discuss our thinking patterns and how to practice/teach some skills to change them!
To read more about the presentation or to register yourself, follow this link. There is an Early Bird discount for those who pay before October 31st. For schools/organisations, there are discounts if you send 3 or more staff members. Please contact me via email or on (03) 881 22 373 for more information. The presentation will be held in Mount Waverley. If you would like me to present in your area, please contact me and give me your details.
Enrolments are now open for the Term 4 “Stomp Out The ANTs” programs for children in Year 5 to 10. These sessions are designed to provide the student with strategies to help prevent anxiety, depression and stress. The next block starts on Wednesday afternoons from November 4th to December 9th (6 weeks). [NAME], if your child (or any students that you deal with) would benefit from this program, please let their parents know as soon as possible. For those children who have a current Mental Health Care Plan from their doctor, they are entitled to claim 6 individual sessions AND 6 group sessions, so a partial Medicare rebate for these sessions apply. What a great deal!
AND FINALLY, [NAME]...
Here is one of my more recent interviews on the “Morning Show” on Channel 7 where I discussed "overparenting".
Make the most of these last few months of the year - I have heard that Christmas goodies are already for sale in the shops! Oh dear...
All the best, [NAME]!
